Welcome to the new Desert Moon Dancers forum! I hope you like the new improved DMD Site!!! And I hope to hear alot more discussions as well on this forum!!!
Also If you have logged on and changed your password already before I have copied all you forum topics and replies over under your name please feel free to copy and paste any topics from the old one to the new one that you have done!
On this new forum you can recieve notification emails of new posts and private messages, you can also see what members have been on the board each day as well, please go to your email settings and follow the instuctions in the annoucement box

Hi there everyone, my name is Casey Linklater and I started bellydancing at the end of last year. I saw DMD perform in Wallsend in August 2008 and thought it looked great! Joining DMD has been one of the most wonderful things I have done. It is lovely to be dancing regularly, in a variety of fun styles and often with spiritual influences! It has also opened up many other avenues for me, including Raks Gothique, new friends, and all the wonderful goodies, remedies, groups, and events on offer through Sue's Crystal Magick.
I am so grateful to be involved in all of this  |

Hello, so i have finally had the time to get on here. It's Alisha or Thea, if anyone didn't know... and will have Scarlet Allure to add to the list when Umbra starts up... speaking of which i am soooooo.... soooo... excited about that... can't wait...
Dani this class is going to go off... like the rest do... like the concert... hehe.. its going to be great...

Hola all you Belly Dancing beauties out there!
What a fantastic website huh? I'm amazed that Dani and the Desert Moon Dancers now have a central web point Thank you so much Shana, beautiful job!
My name is Cherish, and I've been dancing on and off for close to 15 years. I'm currently in my last year of highg school, and thankfully am pulled from the dreariness of it by Dani and her dancers every Thursday night and at performances. I'm a performer, Bellybuttons teacher (with the forever loveable Miss Tracey), encourager and friend at Desert Moon Dancers and have been dancing with Dani and Tracey for a number of years.
I am blessed to have been welcomed with open arms in to such a wonderful group with an absolutely amazing bunch of women! They make every moment with them memorable and I gladly refer to them as my 2nd family
Here, I hope to talk, discuss, learn and create with you all more as this is nurtured and blooms in to a hubbub of wisdom and chattering... Not unlike the marketplaces and harems where the ancestors of our dance performed and grew!
A wonderful place to chat amongst fellow 'passionites' of the dance, in mind, spirit and body...

Hey everyone! How exciting, a website that we can now peer over when we have forgotten (once again) when things are on and special dates. How very cool, not only that now (since we can't get enough of each other) we can post messages to everyone in this here forum... now I think thats kinda groovie.
Anyways... I'm Rose and I'm a newbie dancer but have known alot of the gals for some time now. Why I took so long to join them who knows, but since I have I'm having a ball learning the moves and dances with Dani and the ladies in class. Some funny moments for sure.
I enjoy a day trip to watch Desert Moon Dancers perform as their 'hire-a-crowd' and will perform one day to when I feel I can. Either way I Love everyone and everyone has such a joyful and exciting personality that laughter is attached to.
Thanks Girls for pulling me from my shell

Hi everyone, this is Sue Cooper here and I am the very proud Mum of Dani. I am so excited that Desert Moon Dancers has become so popular with four full classes and lots of gigs!
Dani has worked very hard despite many obstacles and has created a unique Belly Dance Fusion Group filled with wonderful women and girls, fun, friendship and laughter.
I look forward to many more years of shimmying!

Hi Ladies
I'm Aingeal, when I was working my mum's stall at the Mattara festival over the long weekend at the beginning of October I was inspired by the beautiful performances you all put on for us and got it all on video to show my family, my daughter Korina especially loved it and from then on wanted to learn how to belly dance, after her first night of class she is now over the moon that she made friends so fast *this is a rare occurance for her with her ADHD/ODD* thank you so much for putting a smile back on her face, it is something that does not happen very often since she started school. You are all wonderful gals and I'm sure Korina and I will learn alot from you

Hello gorgeous goddesses
My name is Dani and i am the founder/director of Desert Moon Dancers. I am very blessed to be surrounded by so many amazing ladies and girls. Desert Moon Dancers is about to celebrate its 1st Birthday and what a year it has been. 
We have been embraced by the community with open arms and had many memorable experiences...our success comes from the joy and unity that we share. Desert Moon Dancers is not just a dance studio, it is a family, and we support and encourage each other with love and friendship.
I welcome all new ladies and thank all my existing dancers for their energy and unique spark and especially their friendship. You have helped me to create an awesome group that inspires and entertains audiences of all ages.
I am extremely proud of our achievements and look forward to many, many more in the future!!!
